Do I still need to use wipes to clean my mask when using the VirtuClean? I have the ResMed Air Touch F20 mask with memory foam cushions. If so, does it matter if I use the wipes before or after the VirtuClean cycle?

All the cleaning machines like the VirtuCLEAN or SoClean sanitize the equipment they do not clean dirt or facial grease from the mask. Therefore, it is advisable that you use a wipe to clean the mask from facial grease. You could also wash it in warm water with mild soap.

The battery life of the VirtuCLEAN is 10 years. At that point you throw the unit away and purchase a new one. I think after 10 years you have gotten your money out of it.

You have the first part on cleaning your CPAP Machine correct. Below find detained instructions on using the VirtuCLEAN CPAP Sanitizer:
Plug your CPAP hose with the mask attached to the VirtuCLEAN unit.
Place the mask (attached to hose) inside the bag included with your VirtuCLEAN.
If your CPAP has a heated hose do the following:
Plug the VirtuCLEAN into the end of the hose that does not have the electrical conectors on it (end of hose where mask is attached).
Place your CPAP mask loose as well as the end of the heated hose that has electrical connectors on it inside the bag included with your VirtuCLEAN and zip it up.
Power your unit on and wait 30 minutes for the cleaning cycle to be completed. 5 beeps will signal the end of the cleaning cycle. VirtuCLEAN will automatically turn itself off at the end of the cleaning cycyle.
Remove the mask from the bag and detach it from the CPAP hose.
Connect the CPAP hose to the humidifier, leaving it attached to the CPAP machine and turn the unit on. (Water should always be removed from humidifier prior to cleaning.)

I will try to answer each of your questions:
1. There is no set rule on how often to clean your machine/humidifier, hose and CPAP Mask. It is usually stated that you should clean your CPAP equipment at least once a week. So people do it daily, so do it every other day some once a week. That is what works for you. You should however wash you CPAP Mask cushion is warm mild soapy water every day to clean all the facial oils off of it. This will make your mask last significantly longer.
2. Your bedroom should not be a problem for using the VirtuCLEAN.
