Airlines now require travelers who use oxygen while in flight to use Portable Oxygen Concentrators and the FAA has enacted may regulations to protect the safety of the aircraft as well as the passenger requiring oxygen. In addition to the FAA enacted regulations each airline is allowed to add requirements that they feel are necessary. This can make travel for the oxygen dependent passenger challenging. Which Portable Oxygen Concentrator is Right for you?

There are two types of oxygen delivery systems providing supplemental oxygen therapy; continuous flow (Respironics SimplyGo, SeQual Eclipes, etc) and pulse dose (Inogen One G3, AirSep Freestyle, Invacare XPO2, etc). All the portable oxygen concentrators we carry are approved by the FAA for use on airlines and airlines will no longer allow you to use take oxygen during flight.
A pulse dose system is the most common used portable oxygen concentrator because of its light weight and long battery life, some lasting up to 8 hours on a single battery charge. However, some oxygen users require continuous flow oxygen due to their diagnosis or illness progress. Continuous flow is also required by any oxygen user who is titrating oxygen into their CPAP or BiPAP therapy.
